Dispensary Information

DC medical cannabis cards at no charge for limited time! All new and renewing patients and caregivers may receive their medical cannabis card at no charge if they submit their application by January 31, 2022.

Patients and caregivers who were issued a one year card on or after March 1, 2020-November 10, 2021 are also eligible to receive a new registration valid for two years from the original issuance date at no cost. Previously paid registration fees are nonrefundable.

Individuals may request a new registration card by:

  • Email: Include “Extended Registration Request” in the subject line, and the full name of the registrant, registration number, and mailing address in the email. Direct the request to medicalcannabis@dc.gov.

 

  • Mail: Include the full name of the registrant, registration number, and mailing address in the request. Mail to ABRA, Medical Cannabis Program, 2000 14th St. NW Suite 400 South, Washington, DC 20009.

 

  • In-Person: Every Thursday through December 16 (excluding Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving Day, ABRA hosts Turnaround Thursdays. Walk-in customers approved for a registration (with a healthcare practitioner’s recommendation) will receive their card and PDF file during their visit. Visit ABRA , 2000 14th St. NW, Suite 400 South, Washington, DC 20009. Service hours are 9:00am-4:00pm.

We’re accessible:

Takoma Wellness Center is just around the corner from the Red Line TAKOMA Metro stop. We offer free on-site parking and handicap accessibility. Takoma Wellness Center accepts cash, Aeropay, Hypur, Dutchie Pay, Debit Cards ($2.85 fee), Credit Cards (4% Fee), and Apple Pay (4% Fee). We have an ATM in the lobby if you would like to pull out cash to make your purchase.

We have convenient hours:

Monday – Thursday from 10:30am-8pm, Friday – Saturday from 10:00am – 8pm, & Sundays from 10:00am-5pm. Our windows open 30 minutes before our doors open every day.
